Yep yep! Das right!!! We turned 2 years old a few days back (July 24th) isn't that awesome??? *crowd cheering* Yes oh! "WE", because I don't know if i would have had the zeal to continue if you guys weren't viewing and commenting, so happy blogiversary to US and also to you new readers!
First of all, let me apologize for my ghost-like presence on the blog and lack of posts *sad face*...i'll be back with a bang very very soon! I promise! *big smile*
The past year has been pretty amazing for the blog; I decided to become a little more personal with my posts and not sound so robotic and "article-y" lol. I still haven't figured out a niche for the blog and I don't think I ever will because I have a very laaarrrggge range of interests, so i'll be sharing with you and you'll be sharing with me also! Abi? (you can't be stingy and keep all the juicy stuff to yourself nau!).
I had a few giveaways, and it was pretty exciting, first time things are always exciting right? Right! I haven't had time to do more giveaways, but the next is closer than you think so watch out!
Speaking of first things that are exciting, I did my first photo tutorial! It came out a lot better than I expected and I was plenty proud of myself! It's a tutorial on how to tie a turban with a scarf, i'm sure the ladies will be interested...check it out here and look fabulous! *big smile*
Do you know friendships can develop over the internet? Yes oh! I met an amazing young sisi through this blog, hi Moby! *waving and smiling* she started a blog a while back and she's totally amazing! You should check her blog out: www.mylifeasmoby.com.
Oh! Lest I forget, I also got nominated for the best designed blog in the Nigerian Blog Awards in the past year...didn't win, but the recognition was great for the blog...honestly, I don't think I was ready for all the attention if I had won, so let's wait and see what the next awards has in store for us.
There's still so much I want to improve on the blog and on myself as a blogger...
- Putting up posts frequently
- Networking and creating relationships through the blog, with other bloggers and readers
- Having a small family/community here on the blog (which can only happen if i post regularly shey?)
- Allowing my personality show through my blog (i'm a pretty amazing person you know? *Puts on my cool dark shades*)
- ...and plenty more!
