Before You Quit

16:30

It can get really hard sometimes, by "it" I mean things you find yourself involved in. There will be points where you feel like quitting, but before you quit...

Ask yourself, is the end result worth the stress? Is it worth the hardship you're currently facing? Do you think your hard work will pay off eventually? If yes, then just hold on a minute longer.

There is always that little thing telling you to keep going when you feel like quitting, tune everything else out and listen to it, what is it saying? What reason is the voice giving for you to continue? Hold on a few more minutes...

Try and recall why you started. Do the reasons for you starting this task/project/whatever it is, still hold true? Do you still feel passionate about it? If yes, just think about it a little more while you give me one last minute to say this...

I think the feeling of wanting to quit comes when you're smack in the middle of things, when things are getting intense. I also feel the feeling of wanting to quit comes just before the victory moment. It's totally okay to feel like quitting, but don't. Especially if it will be worth it in the end.

Imagine you feel like quitting and then guess what?! YOU DON'T QUIT, that is success, that is a huge milestone! Because when you feel like quitting and you don't quit and then you experience a breakthrough, and do a really amazing job, that is a truly great feeling!

So let's look at the other side, what happens if you do quit? You feel releived for a short while and then you start to feel regret and all the "what if's" start flooding into your mind. That's not a good feeling.

So dear amazing person reading this, whenever you feel like quitting, just know you are one step away from your victory.

Truly yours,
*hugs and purple "mwah's"*

  1. That picture of a man digging and then giving up gets to me every single time. Some time after Quitting, the 'What could have been' question begins to disturb.

    1. Exactly, we just have to push through the feeling of wanting to quit.

    2. Me too it does. I was telling Aby the same thing. The moment one gives up, then there really is not point to all the initial striving. It would just be a waste of time, energy and most times, money. Good read!

  4. Hmmmn....This is inspiring really!? Most times, we allow our level of disappointment at not hitting the gold mine sooner enough disappoint us.

It is usually in all of us to want to give up at some point. But, the drivers, e.g passion, perseverance, urge to work harder and harder will be what fuels our ambition.

    Winners NEVER quit....Apt Post Aby..Splufic!!
