2014 came with a lot of lessons and experiences. Some painful other joyful...but the bottom line is that lessons were learnt and there was growth
You know when they say, when we make plans, God laughs at our plans because he has something much bigger and more glorious waiting for us. God laughed hysterically in my 2014, and eventually I decided to sit back, join the laughter and let Him be in control.
2014 was a great year on the blog, well, the second half of the year at least. I have blogged almost everyday of every week since August, that is something! I made sure I pushed myself because I need to train myself to be able to come up with posts within minutes. That's a superpower every blogger must have and I believe I have developed mine *takes the superhero stance*
This blog is not yet where I want it to be, I don't do enough promotion of my posts, hence page views and comments aren't as much as I would like...but next year won't see me like this...it's time to push.
You know how in races they say "on your marks, get set, GO!"...2014 was my "on your marks, get set..." year, and 2015 is going to be my "GO" year. I say this because I will be embarking on several new life's journeys...journeys that will help in my growth and self actualizing process. I am totally excited! For some reason I am also excited to face the challenges that I know will come my way, nothing good comes easy right? Bring it on 2015! The good? the bad? the ugly? Show me what you got...I'm ready!
Lessons learnt in 2014 were a lot! But the major ones that helped me grow were;
#1. Self love is the best thing you can do for yourself. Nobody can love you as much as you love you, get to know yourself a little better and enjoy a lifelong self romance.
#2. Life is not a race track, we are not in a competition to see who will finish first, everybody has their own time and season, be patient for yours and you will be filled with extreme joy.
#3. Get out of your comfort zone once in a while, experience things. You never know what new thing about yourself you will discover.
#4. Trials and hard times will always come, but don't give up, keep pushing and keep your faith strong. Remember that 'It is always darkest before the dawn' ...your dawn is near, giving up is not an option.
What lessons did 2014 teach you?
Here's wishing you all the best in 2015! Happy New year in advance!
Truly yours...for the last time this year
